Design brief

UTS engaged Digital Garden during a period of digital transformation. Their site was built on Drupal 7 and they needed to migrate the platform to Drupal 8. Along with the migration, they were also undertaking a rejuvenation of the UTS brand.

Our brief was to translate the new print brand guidelines that were designed Houston, into a contemporary, flexible, digital solution.

Sprint based design

Sprint based design

Through sprint based design cycles, Digital Garden worked with the UTS team in workshops, weekly meetings and presentations to refine and design responsive wireframes and then UI designs for the flagship university website.

To keep momentum on this tight scheduled project, the design files were provided to the development team regularly in batches.

As per the design brief, a suite of icons were crated that could be used across the website platform.

UTS 2027

We were also responsible for designing and building new sections of the accessible Drupal 8 website. This included the Universities 2027 strategy, flexible templates for the landing page, events, news and article pages as well as updating the global styles of the website.
